Guidance Announcements
Juniors can sign up in the Guidance Office to take the (PSAT) Practice
SAT test in the Media Center on Wednesday, October 30th. Cost is
$17.00. Pay Mr. McKinstry when you sign up.
SIU DAY will be Wednesday, September 18th. Students who attended
last year are not allowed to go this year. Only Juniors and Seniors are
allowed to go. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office. The bus will leave
at 8:15 a.m. The bus will leave SIU at 2 p.m. to be back at school by 2:50.
SIC College Fair is Tuesday, October 22nd. Juniors and Seniors only. The
bus will leave at 9 a.m. Return from SIC at 10:30 a.m. Be back in time
for lunch at 10:44 a.m.
College Visits
McKendree University representative will be here on Wednesday,
October 2nd at 9:30 a.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
Quincy University representative will be here on Monday, October 7th at
10:30 a.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
Dominican University representative will be here on Tuesday, October
22nd at 11:30 p.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
University of Evansville representative will be here on Tuesday, October
22nd at 12:30 p.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
SIU Edwardsville representative will be here on Wednesday, October
23rd at 11:30 a.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
Murray State University representative will be here Thursday, October
24th at 8:30 a.m. Sign up sheet is in the Guidance Office.
Scholarships
Horatio Alger Scholarship. Applications are available in Mr. McKinstry’s
office. There is several criteria required for this scholarship. All
paperwork has to be received by October 25, 2019.
CBAI Foundation for Community Banking 2020 Scholarship. The CBAI
Foundation for Community Banking provides monetary awards for top
high-school seniors statewide. A student can win up to $4,000 for
college. Applications are available at Mr. McKinstry’s office. The
deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
