Bulldog Family, the countdown is on! 🐾
I hope each of you has had an amazing summer filled with fun, family, and time to recharge. As summer comes to an end, I couldn’t be more excited to welcome our students back to Harrisburg High School on Wednesday, August 12!
There is something special about the first day of school. It’s a fresh start, a new chapter, and an opportunity for every student to write their own story. Whether you’re beginning your journey as a freshman or making the most of your senior year, know that we’re excited to have you back and can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish.
Our teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing for another incredible year. We’re ready to welcome you into a school where you’ll be challenged, supported, encouraged, and celebrated. We believe in every one of our students and are committed to helping you succeed—not only in the classroom, but in athletics, fine arts, clubs, and every opportunity that comes your way.
This year, I challenge you to get involved, encourage one another, work hard, show kindness, and take pride in being a Harrisburg Bulldog. The memories you make, the friendships you build, and the effort you give each day will shape an unforgettable school year.
Enjoy these last few days of summer, get plenty of rest, and come ready to make this the best year yet!
We’ll see you on Wednesday, August 12!
Let’s make 2026–2027 an unforgettable year.
Go Bulldogs!

White Hats visited the Ronald McDonald house in Evansville on Friday. The RMH is a place where families of sick or injured children call home during crisis and uncertainty. The house provides free temporary lodging, hot meals, comfortable furnishings, laundry facilities, and a supportive network for families. HHS students toured the RMH and cooked lunch for the families currently staying there.

HHS Weekly Happenings! 5/18/26

Teacher Appreciation Week left HHS teachers feeling appreciated! Treats from the Appreciation station and the Future Educators started the week off well! Mr. Crabb and Mr. Fehrenbacher put on their chef hats to provide a delicious lunch later in the week. We also need to thank Farmers State Bank and Legence Bank for the fantastic lunches they provided!

The Harrisburg District Library has a new "Little Library". The new library was donated to the Harrisburg Library and was put up by Mr. Brady Mayer's resource class @ HHS. A group from the high school will monitor the little library which is located at the Soccer Fields across from the park office. Special thanks to Mr. Blake Emery and the park board for their support.

Bulldog Hero! Mr. Ray Gorman was awarded a Bulldog Hero award yesterday at HHS. This award is in recognition of his quick thinking, courage, and willingness to act without hesitation in assisting a Harrisburg High School student. His actions reflect the very best of Bulldog character—strength, compassion, and leadership. Because of you, our school community is safer and stronger. Thank you for being a true Bulldog Hero!
