Attention: Parents/Guardians of Kindergarten Students
We still have quite a few students missing their health requirements for Kindergarten and unfortunately, the October 15th deadline will be here before we know it. Please get these things taken care of or at least scheduled before 10/15/23. If you're unsure if we have the copies of these requirements please call the nurse at extension 5251.
Kindergarten requirements are:
Physical dated between 8/14/22-10/15/23
4 doses of DPT and Polio
2 doses of MMR and Varicella
Lead screening 1x
Eye Exam
If you cannot get these things completed BEFORE 10/15/23 then you will need to turn in an appointment card to the school showing the date/time/place of the upcoming appointment. If these requirements are not met then the student will be excluded starting 10/16/23, our first day back from fall break and they will have to remain out of school until they are in compliance with the state mandates. If there are any questions please contact the school nurse directly.

Due to the substitute shortage, anyone with an associate’s degree can apply for a short-term substitute license.
If you don’t have a degree, you can still help! You can apply for a substitute paraprofessional (aide) license. We would love to have you in our K-2 building.
For more information please call the ROE at 618-253-5581 or call West Side for more information at 618-253-7637

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Even as kids grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students access learning opportunities and understand why attendance is so important for success in school. Families can use these strategies to help kids build a habit of good attendance. NAESP
