Priority 3. Student Support Outside the Classroom. Today, some of our 8th grade students had the incredible opportunity to witness history at SIU, where the Illinois Supreme Court held hearings in southern Illinois for the first time since 2008 (first time ever at SIU). Students interested in law, law enforcement, or government observed oral arguments in both a criminal and civil case - real world decisions that will shape future rulings. This unique experience gave them a front-row seat to the judicial branch at the highest level! #HMSBulldogs #FutureLeaders #LearningBeyondTheClassroom

Coaching During State Testing Are your kids anxious about the upcoming state testing? Testing is particularly stressful for youth and they rely heavily on their caregivers for support. As a caregiver, providing the “right” type of support is stressful as it is never clear on what is best. If you would like to have some caregiving support during the state testing, Parent Guidance can help! Our district has partnered with Egyptian Health to provide free access to our community. Please register for coaching at: https://parentguidance.org/school-coaching/
