Harrisburg Unit #3 is excited to announce that Mr. Brady Mayer has been appointed as our new Special Education Coordinator for the 2024-25 school year. Mr. Mayer is passionate about ensuring our students receive the support they need to thrive.
Mrs. Amanda Stone was hired as the East Side Principal for the 2024-25 school year. Her commitment to fostering a positive school culture and ensuring student success makes her an excellent fit for this new role.

Mrs. Krystal Wilson was awarded the Olive Foster “Teacher of the Year” honor for Illinois. Her dedication to education and her impact on both the classroom and the community has been recognized by the Illinois State Historical Society.
Next month, Krystal and some of her students will lead tours at Life On the Frontier at our local museum. Go and help support local history in our community! #BulldogNation

Mrs. Beck received her finalist award from the Golden Apple Foundation on April 13, 2024. She is now one of the top 30 teachers in Illinois who are in the running for the "Excellence in Teaching" award. Harrisburg is cheering you on!

Emily Wallace- HHS Art, Sara DeNeal-HMS Art, and George Whitlock-WS/ES Art attended the Culturally Responsive Practices Conference and Symposium at SIUC on Friday, April 12th. These educators attended sessions to improve our Art program from Kindergarten to 12th grade They made connections with people from other institutions. This conference supports these educators of HCUSD #3 in fulfilling Strategic Plan Priorities 1 & 2. #BulldogNation

HHS Future Educators Club competed with several local school districts at Shawnee Community College yesterday. Khoal Goodson, Regen Arnett, and Tessa Harrison won 2nd place for the Educational Knowledge Test. Bella Teston and Sophia Lin won 3rd place for Character Performance.
