HHS Future Educators Club competed with several local school districts at Shawnee Community College yesterday. Khoal Goodson, Regen Arnett, and Tessa Harrison won 2nd place for the Educational Knowledge Test. Bella Teston and Sophia Lin won 3rd place for Character Performance. It is with great excitement to announce that Mrs. Krystal Wilson was awarded the 2023 Olive Foster "Teacher of the Year" award for Illinois. Krystal will accept this honor in Springfield on April 20th. The Illinois State Historical Society awards Krystal for her achievements in the classroom and community. Mrs. Wilson stated, "Local literature and history is truly a passion of mine and I love spreading the knowledge of how awesome our area is to the students." Save the Date: HHS Spring Sports Pictures are, Tuesday, March 5, at 2:00 pm in Davenport Gym (Baseball, Softball, Boys and Girls Track, Girls Soccer, and Bass Fishing). Proofs will come to the school to pass out to each athlete to bring home, pictures will be ordered online.
