Attention Unit 3 Family: Below is a link to a website that is filled with tutorials involving how to operate the new Chromebooks and Google tools. Since we are relying so heavily on these tools starting this year, it is crucial that both parents/guardians AND students watch these. The info on this site will be updated throughout the year, so check back often. http://bit.ly/dogstech

Tomorrow is the beginning of Chromebook training for our middle school students and we are looking forward to seeing them! All students should have their appointments for this week and should only be present on those two days at the designated times. If you have not received a phone call about your child's appointment, check your voicemail or your child's school email.
Please do not send their school supplies with them as they will not have access to lockers this week. Students should bring a pencil, a water bottle or bottled water labeled with their name, and wear a mask.
Temperatures will be taken when they arrive at school and they will be socially distanced in the gym or commons area before going to their homeroom.
Students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to training - 8:00 for morning training and 12:00 for afternoon training. Please pick your child up promptly at the end of their training - 11:00 for morning training and 3:00 for afternoon training. Thank you!
HMS CROSS COUNTRY - Tryouts for cross country will be Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the middle school. All students who try out will need a current physical. Students must bring their own water bottle clearly labeled with their first and last name and they must wear a mask when they are not running. Contact Coach Herren if you have questions at 518-7327.

Unit # 3 students and parents,
I wanted to provide an update on our plan regarding the opening of school for the 2020-2021 school year. We were provided a 100+ page document from the state on Thursday evening that we are going through currently to determine if needed changes to our plan are needed. We also are considering the increasing number of cases in our area to help us determine the best path possible.
We want all of you to understand that we are making an attempt to consider everyone and their concerns regarding this plan. However, our final determination as administrators and a School Board will be what is in the best interest of our student's safety and education. That has to be the determining factor for us at the end of the day.
We have re-posted the survey regarding parents and their thoughts on sending students back to school. We decided to re-post this due to how the situation has changed in regards to cases in our area since it was last posted.
Thank you again for your patience as we continue this journey to make the best decision for our children. We put a plan out as early as we could to make sure you had some information, but we made sure to let you know we expected it to change. We just want you to know that changes to our initial plan is still a very distinct possibility and we will keep you informed as our vision for a solution to this plan becomes more clear to the district.
Thank You,
Mike Gauch
Superintendent
