HMS Parent/Guardian: With midterm of the the first quarter only two weeks away, this is a reminder that all students who are absent from school for illness or quarantine must log on to their Google Classrooms each day to complete their assignments if they are physically able in order to avoid getting behind in their classes. Students with questions about their assignments may email their teachers for help and will also receive help upon their return to school if needed.

HMS Picture Day is Tuesday, Sept. 7. All students should plan on getting their picture taken. You can order online before picture day or fill out a form and pay on that day. Dress code applies.
HMS Parent/Guardian: Tomorrow is the last day to pay for insurance for student Chromebooks. The cost is $30 and checks are payable to Harrisburg CUSD#3. Without this insurance, any damage or issues with the Chromebooks will be your responsibility. Contact the school office if you have questions.

HMS Cross Country tryouts are on Thursday, August 19 at 4:00 pm at HMS. Students need a current physical (within 395 days of their last physical) in order to try out. Please bring the physical with you to tryouts. For more information contact Coach James Herren or Athletic Director, Kyle McGowan.
We are looking forward to seeing our HMS students tomorrow morning! I am attaching the bell schedule for HMS and WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE 2:00 SCHEDULE UNTIL AFTER LABOR DAY.
If you are dropping your child off at school, please remember that the first lane closest to the school is for buses only. You may use the second or third lane or the lane closest to the road. Wait until you get to the crosswalk to let them out and remind your child to use the crosswalk at all times when walking across the parking lot.
If you will be picking your child up in the afternoon, they will be dismissed at 1:50 pm. Bus riders will be dismissed at 2:00 pm. For students riding the bus to East or West Side after school, the shuttle bus is #22. For students riding the bus to the High School after school, the shuttle bus is #14.
