The HMS Neon Dance is tonight from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. HMS students only. Admission is $5.
Concessions are available. Students who are on the social suspension list or who were absent today are not allowed to attend tonight. The school dress code applies. No glow sticks are allowed as they can damage the gym floor.

The 8th grade parents will be having a concession at our dance on Thursday, October 2 to raise money for the party after the 8th grade promotion ceremony. They are asking all 8th grade parents to send items for the concession including individually wrapped candy and chips, along with canned sodas. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, October 1 and should be dropped off in Mrs. Irvin's room in the 8th grade hallway. Monetary donations may be made, as well. This is a reminder that we have a 1:30 dismissal today due to the homecoming parade. Students who are picked up at HMS will be dismissed at 1:25 and bus riders will be dismissed at 1:30.
HMS Fall Picture Day is Tuesday, September 23. Mark your calendar! The dress code applies. Due to the green screen background, please avoid wearing green on picture day.
HMS Spirit Week starts tomorrow with Moody Monday (AKA Pajama Day)! Dress up and show your school spirit all week long - you might even get your picture taken for the yearbook!

As the first home football game is tomorrow night, Harrisburg High School has asked us to make our yearly reminder to all parents/guardians that middle school students must be accompanied by an adult when attending high school athletic events.
The HMS baseball and softball games scheduled for tonight at Herrin have been canceled due to excessive heat. We are working on rescheduling those games and will provide more information once a new date is set. Tomorrow's home baseball and softball games with Benton will start at 6:00 pm.
Reminder: Soccer tryouts are tomorrow at HMS.
