The volleyball game scheduled for tonight at Carterville has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at 5:00 pm.

Girls who plan to tryout for volleyball tomorrow (6th grade) and Saturday (7th and 8th grade) must be at school and healthy tomorrow to tryout. There will be an alternate tryout date next week for students who are sick. Students must also have a current physical and all forms completed. Athletes with games tomorrow and Saturday must be at school and healthy tomorrow to attend the games.
The boys basketball game against Benton is tonight at 5:00 p.m. Due to the number of students who are absent, cheerleaders will not cheer tonight and the band will not be playing. 8th grade night for the band is also canceled for tonight and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Volleyball tryouts have been postponed due to our girls’ basketball team advancing to the state championship. There will be a volleyball open gym held on Thursday, January 23 for those interested in trying out. The varsity girls basketball team and cheerleaders will NOT attend this open gym as they have prior commitments.
8th grade open gym will be from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
7th grade open gym will be from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
6th grade open gym will be from 7:30 - 8:30 pm.

The team will be posted outside the HMS gym doors at 8:00 pm. You must have an up to date physical and insurance packet turned in prior to the day of tryouts.

2:00 Dismissal Today for Christmas Break and the HMS Talent Show. The annual HMS Talent Show is today at 8:30 a.m. in the commons area at HMS. Family and friends are welcome to attend. If you plan to sign your child out following the Talent Show, please make those arrangements with your child before school today. There will be sign out sheets at the door. Students are only allowed to be signed out by a parent/guardian or another adult on their emergency contact list. For those remaining at school, we have a 2:00 dismissal today.
Basketball and cheerleading picture order forms were sent home today (Wednesday, Dec. 18). Make sure that you get them from your student so that you will have your personal order code.
