The girls basketball game scheduled for tomorrow night at Vienna has been cancelled. If possible, that game will be rescheduled.
Pick up for the HMS Texas Roadhouse Roll Fundraiser will be Wednesday, December 6, from 2:30 - 4:30 pm at HMS. Parents or guardians of students who sold rolls may pick them up at Door 12. You may park in the parking lot in front of the building. Please do not park in the pick up or bus lanes. Rolls must be frozen until students deliver them.

Picture retakes are tomorrow morning (Friday, November 3). Any student who did not like their first picture can have another one taken. Also, any student who did not get their picture taken earlier this year should plan on getting their picture taken tomorrow. The school dress code applies.

The Community Builders at HMS are sponsoring a pet supply drive for the local animal shelters from Oct. 20 - 27. Please send cat or dog food, cat litter, pet toys, etc. to school during that time. The homeroom that collects the most will get a prize.

HMS Parents/Guardians: This is a reminder that we will be having parent/teacher conferences at HMS tomorrow, October 19 from 3:30 - 6:30 pm in the gym. Please park in front of the building and enter through the doors under the awning. You will receive your child's midterm reports as well as their 2023 Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) score reports and have an opportunity to speak with your child's teachers. In order to allow all parents who are attending conferences to meet with the teachers, you will need to limit the time you speak with each of them. If you feel you need more time with your child's teachers, you may schedule another conference between 3:00 - 3:30 pm at a later date. Midterm reports that are not picked up at parent/teacher conferences will be sent home with students on Friday, October 20.
Congratulations to the HMS boys and girls cross country teams! The boys' team placed 2nd and the girls' team placed 3rd at the regional meet today and both teams qualified for the state meet. For the boys' team, Peyton Murray placed 2nd and Cedric Johnson placed 6th. For the girls' team, Peyton McDaniel placed 3rd, Kyndall Williams placed 4th and Kynley Chaffin placed 9th.
